Frequently Asked Questions

Have you been thinking about buying a park home in Cornwall?

Do you have a few more questions to be answered first?

Here are our most frequently asked questions but click here for a more comprehensive list of questions.

Can I let out my holiday home?

YES! All holiday parks have different rules, but here at St Merryn we want to make your life a little easier!  Renting out your park home is an excellent way of making your holiday home work for you and your return on investment could be staggering. Contact Katherine for more information.

Can I stay at a holiday park all year round?

YES! There are some exceptions to this though. St Merryn Park is open for the full 12 months of the year but you must also have a primary residence.  So you can come and holiday with us whenever you like and for as long as you like, but you can’t live at the park permanently.  You must be registered to vote at your primary address, pay council tax and have your driving licence registered there too.

Are there any hidden costs at St Merryn Park?

NO!  We are very open and upfront about the costs involved in buying a park home at St Merryn Park.  The turnkey price includes the siting of your home, a turfed garden that wraps around the property, a concrete shed and a tarmac driveway.  A yearly ground rent is then payable in line with the current RPI (retail price index) which is reviewed every April.  This currently stands at £1886.66 + VAT and comprises ground rent, the maintenance of the road in the park, maintenance of the sewer, street lighting, grass cutting in shared areas and general maintenance of the shared facilities.  Business rates currently stand at £265.68 + VAT.  All electric, gas and water bills are your own responsibility.
