The Copper Trail

This circular walk takes you around some of the most beautiful parts of Bodmin Moor.  Once the centre of a great copper mining boom, the trail starts in Minions, taking you on a tour of the historic Cornish Copper mines. It’s great for holidaying in Cornwall.

Directions:

Start at Minions, heading towards the village of St Neot.

Pass the River Fowey and Golitha Falls.

Continue from St Neot to Bodmin along the River St Neot and past Colliford Lake.

Before you reach Bodmin, there is a peaceful woodland area through Devlock Wood.

Join the Camel Trail at Bodmin, following the River Camel to St Breward and onto Camelford.

Head through Davidstow Moor, passing Crowdy Reservoir, Davidstow Woods and the old Second World War control tower.

Continue through Stonaford and Henwood.

Arrive back in Minions.
